Minimum wage in Chile
In Chile, minimum wage is called the Minimum Monthly Income, which is the minimum monthly amount paid for an ordinary working day (not to exceed 45 hours per week). It’s set by law by Congress, after a government proposal accepted by representatives of employers and workers. It usually becomes effective the first day of July each year and lasts one year.
